I finally got around to organising my games and facing the backlog of games I knew I needed to finish (inspired by LifeHacker’s article). Looking through my games, I feel extremely guilty and ashamed because there are a few games I have never ever touched after all these years :'( It’s time I make 2016 the year that I cut down and tackle my backlog!

I thought I’d share 3 app games that I’m addicted to at the moment for those who are looking for fun games! Note that I download them from the Apple Store and they are all Japanese so it requires a Japanese iTunes account.
1. Neko Atsume 「ねこあつめ」
I’m sure people are familiar with this cat game! It basically involves you gathering cats to your home through items and you sort of add them to your album by taking photos. The gameplay is pretty straightforward: when cats visit your home, they leave either fish or gold fish, which is the currency of the game, and you can use them to buy food and more toys to attract all kinds of cats. I like how the game requires little effort so I just check back every few hours to refill the food and see what cats are visiting! Really cute and great for cat lovers!
2. Saibai Shounen「栽培少年」
I got introduced to this through my friend Annie’s post and have been addicted to plant boys ever since! The game pretty much involves harvesting mandrake “boys” (and some girls) through planting seeds and watering them… weird description I know but that really is the aim of the game. You also collect cute stories and illustrations by doing strolls that take real time to complete. It is partially voiced as well with some of the rare mandrakes (2nd picture – voiced by Kakihara Tetsuya!) actually voiced in their stories!
3. Yume Oukoku to Nemureru 100-nin no Ouji-sama「夢王国と眠れる100人の王子様」
This app came out recently so it’s still quite glitchy, but other than that it’s another addicting game involving ikemen boys. It’s a puzzle game where you link matching coloured gems, however you have turns in every battle where you have to complete as many combos as you can in one turn within a time limit. The more combos you get, the more damage your team members will deal and completing quests will you give rewards such as gems to do rare gachapons, experience to level your team members up, stories etc. The app is partially voiced as well, especially during quests and on the home screen when you can tap them and hearts appear :3 Some notable seiyuu that’s in the game include Tatsuhisa Suzuki, Miyano Mamoru, Sakurai Takahiro, Shimono Hiro and many more.
I find myself revolving around these three games alot aka. my life right now is in mobage hell (which is bad since I’m spending more time on my phone oops). If you want to add me on any of the games, my ID for mandrake boys is あゆっぺ (ayuppe) and my ID for prince boys is 1092323982. If I have time and people are interested, I’d be more than happy to write a guide for each game!
A good friend of mine Anne (awesome blogger of Chic Pixel) told me about Region Three so many thanks to her! I’m sure most of you Nintendo 3DS users understand the pain of region lock: not being able to play games from Japan, having to fork out more money to buy a second (or third) 3DS just to play games that wouldn’t come to your region…
But with Region Three Loader, you can make your 3DS/3DSXL/2DS (does not work on the New Nintendo 3DS unfortunately) console region free. Yeap, I’m not kidding. It requires no game or flashcard – just a file on your SD card, an Internet connection, your game cartridge and you’re good to go! I have tried it out myself on my Japanese 3DS XL and was able to load AND play Persona Q, Pokemon Omega Ruby and Animal Crossing which are all Australian versions (language was English). One exception though is Tomodachi Collection which will give you an error no matter what, but every other game loads fine.
This is great for people who don’t have a second 3DS and want to import games! However, I don’t doubt that Nintendo will patch this in the future but rest assured any game you play will still be saved into your game cartridge.
I can’t believe it’s already the end of 2014, and what a way for it to end with the release of UtaPri Island (http://utapri.com/app/island/)! If you were like me who followed closely to the app, you’d know that it came out earlier this year, but due to the unexpected numbers of people downloading and trying to install the app, the server crashed so much that they had to do maintenance and had to push it toward the end of this year. I thought I would never be able to play, but thankfully today UtaPri Island is released! It’s currently available for iOS only at the moment but I’m sure an Android version will be released as well.
Merry Christmas everyone! メリークリスマス(〃・ω・)ﾉ由☆ I hope you guys are having a wonderful holiday with your family, friends and loved ones! It’s amazing how fast this year has gone and pretty soon it’ll be 2014! Another year, another page in life, another year of releases!
I figured for today, I’d do a short post on Animal Crossing since there was Toy Day on Christmas Eve! I’ll also be doing more ACNL posts in the future too :)
Because who can’t resist those gorgeous graphics and customization? (Click images to enlarge)
I finished this recently in a span of less than 7 days and all my AA feels came back ahhh. As a fan who has played all Ace Attorney games and has enjoyed all of them, I could not miss this game. The cases, the new graphics and features… it’s a game worthy of praise!
